The Landsdowne Theater, located in Landsdowne, PA was built in 1927. It is a single screen theater with 1400 seats. The theater is currently being restored, at a cost of 14 million dollars. When I spoke with the owner, Matt, he indicated that it takes about a year to restore and repair each architectural element in the theater. With numerous mosaics, carved pillars, and custom chandeliers, the theater was once resplendent.
